Welcome to the Rules of the Game for GolfNow Compete’s new Pools feature. Discover all the rules governing betting pools, powered by Who Knows Wins.

  1. Tournament bets will only be settled if the minimum number of holes to provide an official result are completed.
  2. Any player starting a tournament but withdrawing or being disqualified before the end of the tournament will be settled as a loser.
  3. “˜Victory Margin” markets will be settled on the official tournament result NOT including any playoff.
  4. For “3 Balls” or “2 Balls” markets, all bets on these markets will stand irrespective of whether the players play in the same group or pairing as each other.
  5. All bets for all markets, are determined by the official result published by the governing body of the tournament, unless stated otherwise
  6. Playoffs will not be included in determining results
  7. In the event of a tie, the winner be determined by:
    – The scores on the final 9 holes of the round
    – If still tied then the final 6 holes of the round
    – If still tied then the final 3 holes of the round
    – If players are still tied after the above it will be awarded to the player with the most birdies in their round.

Tournament match betting

  1. If a player withdraws without playing a stroke all bets on the relevant market will be void.
  2. If all players fail to complete a particular round for any reason the winner is the player with the lowest total score after the previous round.
  3. If a player is disqualified or withdraws during any round they will be settled as a loser providing at least one other player completes that round.
  4. Should all players fail to complete the first round then all bets will be void.

2 ball/3 ball betting

  1. Players must complete 3 holes or more for bets to stand.
  2. In 2/3 ball betting the winner will be the player in the pairing or group with the lowest score over 18 holes.
  3. Should a player in the 2/3 ball not tee-off all bets in that 2/3 ball are void. However should a player retire during the round, he/she will be deemed to have played.
  4. In the event of a 2/3 ball being rearranged all bets in that 2/3 ball will stand as per original pairings/groups.
  5. If a player posts a score but is later disqualified, all bets will be settled on the score that the player initially signs for that round.

Performance of a named player or players against each other, on a given hole

  1. Should a hole not be completed for any reason all bets on that hole will be void.
  2. Markets are settled on completion of the hole and any subsequent penalties or disqualification will not be taken into account.
  3. With the exception of a player or team conceding a hole (where they are deemed a loser), if a hole is not completed by any player or team (other than for withdrawal or disqualification) all bets on that hole will be void.

To make or miss the cut

  1. Any player who makes the cut or the modified cut (MDF) will be settled as having made the cut (according to the official tournament leaderboard).
  2. Should 36 holes (or 54 holes in the case of a 3 Round cut) not be completed then all bets on this market will be void.

Top Player betting such as Top US Player, Top British & Irish Player

  1. Should a hole not be completed for any reason all bets on that hole will be void.
  2. The winner will be the player with the highest placing at the end of the tournament.
