Spotlight on… Middlesex

Middlesex is home to an abundance of quality courses, which are all easily accessible from not only those who are within the M25 circle, but also golfers living in the surrounding counties. We have picked out some the best courses in the area.

Mill Hill Golf Club

Mill Hill Golf Club was founded in 1925. The Clubhouse is a picturesque old coach house, which offers a wide range of facilities and services based around an 18-hole golf course. J F Abercrombie first laid out the course in 1923 – designer of many fine courses including Worplesdon, Coombe Hill and The Addington.

Sunbury Golf Centre

Not far from Shepperton, Sunbury Golf Centre offers terrific views and challenging play for golfers at every skill level. The 18-hole course measures 5,153 yards with a par of 68. Relatively flat, it is easy on the legs, and the layout and length means that golfers can make their way round in reasonable time.

Stockley Park Golf Club

Stockley Park Golf Club is a premier golf course and events venue situated in west London. The club was opened in 1993 with European Tour legend Nick Faldo hitting the very first drive. Situated just 5 minutes from London Heathrow Airport the golf club is a vibrant and welcoming venue for all visiting golfers.

Pinner Hill Golf Club

Pinner Hill Golf Club was formed in 1928 and designed by the great golf architect J H Taylor. The par-71, 6,392 yards parkland course offers some great views over the city including sights such as the London Docklands and the London Eye.

Stanmore Golf Club

Built in 1893, Stanmore Golf Club plays to 6,025 yards as a par-69 and provides a good test of golf for players of all abilities. The tree-lined fairways make accuracy from the tee important. With two par 5s, five tricky par 3s with the remaining par 4s of varying lengths, each hole has a character of it’s own whilst offering spectacular views of the surrounding area.
