Discover spectacular year-round parkland golf at Blainroe

You will find Blainroe Golf Club just 3.5km south of Wicklow Town on the beautiful west coast of County Wicklow. Its clifftop location affords some spectacular views of the Irish Sea and the majestic Wicklow Mountains to the west give Blainroe its own micro-climate, making this a beautiful spot for year-round golf. Recognised as a championship venue, Blainroe will host the 2019 Leinster Golf Senior Cup finals with other National GUI events in the planning stages.

This 18-hole, Par-72 course measures 6175 meters. Opened in 1978, Blainroe carries the prestigious Hawtree & Son design signature, famous for many prestigious links designs, including recent upgrades to Irish Open venue Lahinch as well as a number of Trump International Links. In 2005, Martin Hawtree, son of the original architect, redesigned the course at Blainroe with new sand-based greens, new tee-boxes and additional green-side and fairway bunkers. Blainroe is now recognised as one of the finest coastal parkland golf courses on the east coast of Ireland.

The modern clubhouse, overlooking the club’s private beach, assures visitors a warm welcome and has full bar and catering facilities daily. A fully stocked Professional shop run by Blainroe’s PGA Professional, David Lewis, also offers club, trolley and motorised buggy hire. Wicklow Town with its quaint harbour, pubs, restaurants and guesthouses, is the ideal base from which to play Blainroe and other nearby courses.
